Hi, I'm Venus

Filming weddings is truly a special experience for me. I love knowing that I’m creating a keepsake for couples to remember all the little moments in their love story. As a kid, I was on the playground documenting moments with friends on those green disposable Fujifilm cameras. When I wasn’t taking photos and obsessing over page layouts as my high school yearbook team’s editor-in-chief, I was watching old movies over and over again (that VHS rewinder sound was my ASMR before it was even a thing). My favorites were the ones that wove in a good storyline and made you feel all the feelings (Homeward Bound, anyone??)

 

After college, I worked as a graphic designer but something just didn’t feel 100% right. On a whim to expand my creativity, I asked my friends if I could film their wedding. And boy oh boy, I fell IN LOVE with filming weddings. Like “head-over-heels, early-Taylor-Swift-wrote-about-this-type-of-love” love. 

 

I’ll never forget how happy and grateful they were after watching their video. It was then that I knew I had found my true calling. 

 

And that’s what makes capturing weddings so special for me. I love knowing that I'm not just there to film a day like that one uncle who carried his large camcorder to all the weddings. I’m helping couples like you remember all the emotions from the big day. 

 

What makes my films different is my approach of including all the small, intimate, spontaneous - maybe even "imperfect" - moments (your partner’s anxious breathing right before your first look, the hug you gave your best friend after their toast, the joke you made that caused your partner to laugh out loud during the ceremony). Because those are the real, fleeting, emotional moments that you’re going to cherish the most and want to relive over and over again.
